Welcome to the Columbia University Department of Anthropology. This handbook is intended to help you navigate through the years of study and research that will lead to a MA degree in Sociocultural Anthropology. We hope that the outlining of procedures and defining of terms will help you in planning your studies. This handbook focuses largely on the policies and procedures of the Department.
