December 14, 2022

Professor Nadia Abu El-Haj's book Combat Trauma received a positive review from Lyle Jeremy Rubin at the Washington Post. Rubin made particular note of the breadth and depth of scholarship involved in the project, and how it encourages the reader to consider the everyday realities of American empire. He closes his review by stating: "...for a nation that persists in seeing itself as the victim to justify its status as avenging victimizer, this book may be a necessary one."
