For a United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66) Parallel Event, the Red Pepper Association will organize a panel discussion on "Ecofeminism and Gender Equality." Paige West will speak on the panel, scheduled for noon on March 22, 2022, that examines the impacts of climate change and environmental disasters on women's lives through the lenses of intersectionality and ecofeminism, as well women's struggle and engagement in environmentalist and climate movements. Drawing on examples from Turkey and other countries, panel speakers will address aggravating factors, government policies, strategies of resistance and push for policy change and areas of success.
