Join us for discussion of Penny Johnson's new book "Companions in Conflict: Animals in Occupied Palestine" (Melville House, 2019). Penny Johnson is a researcher and founding member of the Institute of Women's Studies at Birzeit University in Palestine. She is also an editor of Jerusalem Quarterly and is a co-editor of and contributor to two acclaimed books of essays: Shifting Sands: The Unraveling of the Old Order in the Middle East and Seeking Palestine, which won the Palestine Book Award.
