Biography

Natalie Reinhart’s research includes questions of enduring legal histories from slavery and Apprenticeship in Jamaica to the structures of voice, testimony, and embodiment in contemporary courts for young women today. It asks how agency may be determined by archival and legal documentation, and how race, gender, and vulnerability are fashioned inside of the courtroom and through the social and legal category of girlhood.
