Biography

Brendane Tynes is a 2018 Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellow whose research centers the affective experiences of Black women and girls in antiviolence movements in Baltimore, MD. She interrogates the role of fear and anger in the reimagination of Black futures determined by legacies of interpersonal, institutional, and state violence.
