Andrea Zrake is a part-time Masters student in the Department of Anthropology of Columbia University. She has been working toward her degree since the fall of 2017. Currently, she works as the Coordinator of School Programs and Community Outreach at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan and plans to continue in the field of museum education upon completion of her degree. Her research focus is race and ethnicity studies with a specific interest in the racialization of Arab-Americans through the United States census and the current advocacy efforts to create a distinct MENA (Middle Eastern/North African) racial category.
